SPI has partnered with one of the fastest growing Sports Management firms in Europe to clear pathway for an open exchange of talented players starting in 2025.
FUTLAB LLC has a rich history of placing players throughout the top leagues in Europe and their expanding global sphere of influence. Andy Vera, SPI President said this, “their deep connections with historic club leadership officials and coaches will accelerate the process of player transfers both on the women’s and men’s side.”
FUTLAB will co-manage the upcoming WPSL Combines with SPI and will be instrumental in marketing to players around the globe to attend events here in the USA. We are working on a marketing plan that will bring international players to our yearly events with a focus on the women athletes. Both SPI and FUTLAB have acknowledged a “momentum shift” as it pertains to the international female athlete looking for playing options here in the USA. The hope of both organizations is to accommodate this shift starting in 2025 with multiple international combines and talent identification events. Sebastian Borobio, Managing Directo o FUTLAB LLC said this regarding the newly signed agreement, “our primary objective, in partnership with SPI, is to create a unique platform of visibility and opportunities where male and female players can showcase themselves directly to professional clubs globally but specifically in Europe. Through carefully planned strategic events, we (FUTLAB and SPI) aim not only to provide international exposure to participating talent but also to facilitate an environment where the opportunity to secure professional contracts is a concrete and accessible possibility for those who demonstrate their skills on the field.”
SPI and FUTLAB will utilize their growing list of top-level international club directors, scouts, and coaches to hold focused talent identification events across key USA soccer markets. Top club scouts from Italy, Spain, Catalunya, Belgium and Germany to name a few will be accessed to attend talent identification events.
International events are set to begin in 2025.
